The City is a thin line / Kaupunki on veteen piirretty viiva is a 2-day art + research event with nine works/gestures by Helsinki sea shore and a symposium in Vuosaari. During the event the artists, their works and the symposium guests are invited to share their works, ideas and sensations of how the city outlines are by nature always porous and negotiated, moving and wavy – be they geographical, conceptual, mental or imagined. The participants are also invited to discuss how the art works might shine in relation to norms, neighbourhoods, and dreaming.
